During the 1970s the hippie trend was popular for both men and women. Flares, high waisted trousers, headbands, tie dye and platform soles were worn by both the sexes. The seventies saw a huge turnaround in mens fashion as it adapted a more casual unisex style. The crossover between men and womens fashion has continued through the decades with utility and workwear and new designers experimenting with androgyny.
